Frequently Asked Questions About Your Wedding Dress Shopping Experience

Do I need an appointment to try on my wedding dress?

Oui! Our boutique is intimate and exclusive, so we do require you to make an appointment. We have two appointment types fit for different budgets and we do require you to keep a card on file and require a 48 hour cancellation notice due to limited appointment availability.

How many people can I bring with me to my wedding dress fitting?

We know it sounds exciting to bring all your loved ones with you, but if you can limit it to your top few favs, we promise you will enjoy your shopping experience so much more. With so many people and opinions, your voice will be lost and overwhelm will set in. Here is a blog post about how to plan for your wedding dress fitting day.  For this reason (and because our boutique is so wonderfully cozy), we have a guest limit of 4 guests + the bride for our 'Say Oui!' Appointments. We do offer an extended guest limit with the purchase of an Evangeline VIP Experience. Click here to learn more.

What kind of wedding dresses do you carry?

We have a little bit for everyone. Classically simple gowns, detailed & hand beaded gowns, fitted gowns, ball gowns, and more. Our designers include Lea-Ann Belter Bridal, Astrid & Mercedes, Elysian Bridal, and our own label: Melange Private Collection.

What is the price range for wedding dresses?

Our entire selection of dresses ranges from $2000 to $5,000.

What size wedding dresses do you carry?

Most of our sample gowns are bridal size 12 and 14 (street size 8-10), but our entire selection of samples ranges from 6 - 24. Keep in mind: you are only trying on the samples at our store. We then take your measurements and order the gown closer to your size. We have lots of tricks to help you get a close vision of how you will look on your wedding day.

How soon in advance should I purchase my wedding dress?

Our gowns are taking about 4 to 6 months to arrive, and we recommend allowing for 2 to 4 months for alterations. If you have less time than that, some of our designers offer rush shipping for an additional fee, and prepare to be flexible with your alterations time allotment. If you are 9+ months out for your wedding, that is wonderful, and we still recommend finding and purchasing your dress sooner rather than later. The more time you have, the more options you have and the less stressed you will be about your gown arriving on time.

How soon in advance should I purchase my veil?

Shockingly, sometimes a veil can take longer to arrive than a gown! Ideally you should purchase your veil at your gown purchase appointment, or soon after. If that is not feasible, we recommend having it ordered 3 to 4 months before your wedding.
